Just Say It Birthers: “We Are Racists!”
Okay Birthers, you got what you’ve been asking for. After what felt like eons of nagging and complaining that Barack Obama was not born in America, you finally got that little birth certificate you’ve been crying about. I mean, seriously, I wouldn’t have ever gave you the luxury of forcing my hand to prove something so meaningless and nonsensical. He is the President of the United States and doesn’t have to backtrack to prove to a bunch of morons that he’s from the U.S.A. But I digress…
You’ve been biting at Obama’s heels ever since he got in office. Sure, he hasn’t been perfect, but your reasons from thrashing him are pretty lame. Is he Muslim? Did he lie and say he was born in another country? In the immortal words of Ed Lover “C’mon Son!” But alas, the birth certificate was released and should have shut your mouths for at least 48hrs. It didn’t take but 48 minutes for the “Birthers” to be back at it.
Now they are questioning the validity of the document.

Obama gets more scrutiny than an African- American quarterback simply because he’s a black man that most bigots feel isn’t smart enough for the position (Shout out to Cam Newton!). Try to disguise your thinly veiled bigotry a little bit better why don’t you? What you are doing is reaching. And you can try to give us the “I have black friends” line, but they aren’t the president, are they? As long as they aren’t in a position of power it’s all good. But once an African-American holds power, you guys freak out. You will continue to pick at Obama and try to make him break. How about you lay off of him? Donald Trump is the last guy I want to hear talking about Obama. Hey Donald, since Obama showed his real birth certificate, why don’t you show your real hair?
The bottom line is this entire ordeal is preposterous. No other president has ever been questioned like Obama has. George Bush was a complete moron, but nobody wondered if he was an American. But I guess when you are a black man, you can’t be from this country.

Shepherd, if you’re so angry, then simply don’t read the articles. The truth is, pretty much everything you said is either a blind assumption, an insult or simply incorrect.
First, while there was dissension between Democrats between whether or not to elect Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama for the democratic presidential campaign, there was never any slandering the two choices as far as such petty topics like “Where was candidate x born?”
Secondly, the Birther conspiracy was a rumor that was started on the internet, and then picked up by political radio hosts, and THEN picked up by Republican politicians such as Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin & Jan Brewer.
I can’t discern the relevance of the 1880 Birth Certificate search link you put, so I don’t have any remarks on that.
Another point I would like to mention is the assertion that his long-form Birth Certificate is fake. Simply put, no it isn’t. And even if, by some strange, Republican miracle it was, the short-form that he released ages ago is real. Keep in mind, the long-form certificate is absolutely useless. It cannot be used as an official legal document in any way, shape or form, and the short-form is what anyone would need to acquire things such as passports, driver’s licenses, marriage certificates, ect. The fact that he released an all-but-meaningless document was done precisely for the Republicans and the media craze so that we as a nation could focus on REAL issues.
Finally, I would ask you to consider the notion that political differences are not a matter with which personal insults are necessary. The fact of the matter is, this is an opinion piece. If you disagree with the opinions of Democrats, I scarcely can imagine why you would come here and spend so much time and energy making an angry, offensive, hateful comment such as this.
