the heat got a monkey off their back, the media talks about about lebron quit against the celtics and how boston would beat the heat because during the season boston won 3-1 games. Its like the student beating the master and a hump they had to get over. Besides their not hurting anybody boosting up their confidence

Who cares if they celebrate. its their job to play basketball and win. so why be a hater when they are really happy to have won. lebron and wade deserve the win.

Did the Heat over celebrate??? Not one sportscaster or expert picked the Heat to win this series before the Playoffs began….I watched them all pick the Celtics…I can only guess that you don’t review the films, from the games to see the improvements they made over the course of the season. So if they want to celebrate let them…they deserve it…. Gooo Heat!

Earlier this year, you wrote “The Miami Heat Won’t Win The NBA Finals Because They Don’t Have A Closer.” The first part of that may be true, but they clearly closed on the Celtics in games 4 and 5.

A colleague of yours wrote “Is The Miami Heat’s Matchup Against The Boston Celtics The Biggest Playoff Series Of LeBron James’s Career?” Here is the key excerpt: “But in order to get the respect he desires, that’s exactly what LeBron needs— a long, drawn-out series [against the Celtics] that shows that he can lead a team to a title. He needs to beat a great team to show us that the Heat are more than just a team that’s legendary on paper. He needs to win this series.” Well, he got that- except the “long, drawn out” part.

Please reread those (they are on this very website) to partly understand why the Heat celebrated the way they did at the end of Game 5…all the haters wanted them to lose and they smoked their nemesis in convincing fashion.

So, to answer your question more directly: No, they didn’t over-celebrate. Do you over-hate?

We like it or not … Miami will be the team to beat for years from now unless one of the big 3 suffered an injury and they were out for the season. Lebron is the best player in the NBA now although the MVP title went for Rose ( since he had no help on his team). None of the other teams can measure up to the explosiveness of Wade and James combined.
