Why Is The Game’s Video “Red Nation” Banned From MTV & BET?

Today marks the premier of Los Angeles rapper The Game‘s music video “Red Nation,” in support of the lead single off his highly anticipated R.E.D. Album, but this video is not without its drama. As you may have heard, MTV and BET are both too scared to run this video, thus banning it from both stations. Funny, I thought both channels would play anything with Lil Wayne in it (even the stuff that kinda sucks). I’ve watched the video and I have to wonder—was this really necessary? Word around town has the stations passing on the videos due to strong gang content. I wonder if they’re just too scared of black folks getting all revolutionary.
