Supreme NYC Vandalized By Graffiti Artist Kidult

Submitted by on May 24, 2011 – 9:14 am3 Comments

Famed graffiti artist Kidult has a proclivity for covering the outside of retail spaces in paint. He’s done it before in Paris and NYC, and today took to the streets of SoHo to hit Supreme with his mark. Kidult’s method of choice is your common fire-exhtinguisher retro-fitted with paint for long distance bombing. The work bears his name and has thus far been touted as “vandalism.” Time will tell if this was a true act of unprovoked vandalism, or a pre-conceived publicity stunt which is where I’ll place my money. If this is a publicity stunt, it not only fits perfectly with Supreme’s aesthetic and style, but it’s a great idea for getting tons of media coverage in an abbreviated time frame. We’ll keep you posted on the veracity of this act of “civil disobedience.”
