Oprah’s Inspirational Final Episode (Video): The Emotional Farewell & Her Terrible Dress
We just watched the last episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show on ABC and I have to say, it was an emotional roller coaster—one heck of a finale. I wasn’t planning on going through an entire box of tissue. We tried to keep from doing the “ugly cry.” There were no guests to console, no celebs to promote, no extraordinary gifts for the audience members. This last episode, the final goodbye—before embarking full time on OWN TV, The Oprah Winfrey Network—was stripped to its simplest elements, proving that we the audience need nothing more than Miss Oprah on her stage. The word magnificent comes to mind. Her words were a love letter of honesty and inspiration.
