MAX100 is a project that’s been undertaken by professional illustrator, and the self-diagnosed sneaker obsessed Matt Stevens. The project blends Stevens’ love for the Air Max 1 silhouette with his talent as a graphic designer. In essence, he’s crafted 100 different illustrations of the Air Max 1 with the end goal of compiling these designs and showcasing them within a high-end art book. Books have and will continue to highlight sneakers, but never before has a collection of proprietary designs focusing on one particular silhouette been printed, bound and circulated for distribution. Each design has a theme and each particular Air Max 1 iteration has been documented and titled within the book, which is sure to appeal to the refined sneakerhead. While kicks may not be well suited for a coffee table display, a high-end art book delineation of one man’s appreciation for sneakers most certainly is. The creativity of the project doesn’t cease with the design. Being that this is a self-funded project, Stevens is looking for investors who will reap the reward of an Air Max 1 design with their namesake on it.
