Polish To Perfume: Can Justin Bieber Get Any Girlier?

His iconic hairstyle allegedly inspired a legion of lesbians to switch their styles up but Justin Bieber may be taking his talents of feminine persuasion too far. It’s no secret the pint-sized superstar’s fanbase eats up every morsel of promotion geared toward them (from dolls to bedding to engraved booty shorts) and it’s all starting to get a little creepy.

Bieber’s first serious foray into the teen cosmetic market came late last year with a collaboration with Nicole by OPI to design nail polishes inspired by his hit songs. With shades called One Less Lonely Glitter (lavender), “Baby” Blue (blue) and Red-y To Runaway Love (red), the whole concept was weird from the jump. Naturally, he sold over a million bottles in less than three months.

Now he’s released his first prestige scent, Someday. According to Women’s Wear Daily the bottle is designed with “femininity to the max—from the heart-shaped flower of a top to the removable charms hanging from the neck. To top it off, the scent is billed as a ‘fruity gourmand’ formula.” When asked why he went with a female perfume rather than male cologne, Bieber replied, “Let’s be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy! I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world,” he said.

What’s next, Biebs? A wig line? Press-on nails to go with the polishes? Even branded feminine hygiene products may not be out of your reach; only time will tell.

To catch Biebs’ next move, he’s nominated for “Best Jaw Dropping Moment” at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards airing this Sunday 9pm EST, for his 3D concert spectacular, Never Say Never.
