New York radio station HOT 97 will create Internet history this weekend as they live stream their sold-out Summer Jam concert for the first time. On Sunday hip-hop fans around the world will get the chance to witness arguably the genre’s most anticipated event, bringing performances by superstars Lil Wayne, Birdman, Young Money, Chris Brown, Dipset, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Waka Flocka Flame and more to millions of people straight to their computers or smart phones.

“Summer Jam is a hip-hop celebration every lover of this culture should experience,” says Ebro Darden, Hot 97′s VP of Programming. “While there’s nothing like experiencing it live, we want to allow the world’s hip-hop community the opportunity to feel and see what the infamous HOT 97 Summer Jam is all about. Hopefully this HOT97.com event will capture why hip-hop music and culture is a phenomenon.”

According to insiders, Lil Wayne and his YMCMB crew have some serious performances planned as does Rick Ross and his newly-assembled Maybach Music team. Our bet’s on Chris Brown putting on one hell of a show plus the numerous surprise guests that will surely make it an event to remember.

Summer Jam will stream live (featuring backstage interviews and show commentary) this Sunday on HOT97.com and select partner sites.
