New York City is the latest venue to play host to the captivating “Passing Through” exhibit by artist KAWS. The grand scale public art instillation is highlighted by a larger-than-life seated Companion figure which will grace The Standard hotel’s front plaza starting June 8th. KAWS has garnered acclaim over the years for his street- and consumer-inspired art. The complete collection features figures, toys and original sketches, and will be on display at the Standard Hotel in NYC starting tomorrow through October. The pop-culture inspired art instillation has graced Harbour City, China and the Aldrich Contemporary Museum in Connecticut. This is its first stop in the Big Apple. Get ready to take in a little culture and possibly buy a piece of your own when KAWS comes to town..
