Is Justin Timberlake Finished With Music?
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Justin Timberlake reveals he has no plans for making music anytime soon.
“I wouldn’t say I’m not going to put out another [album]. I would say that would be a bad bet, if you were betting,” says Timberlake. “But I could see myself only doing one more big tour.”
The 30-year-old, who has two big movies scheduled for release over the next month (Bad Teacher with ex Cameron Diaz and Friends With Benefits with Mila Kunis), appears to be in no rush to get back in the studio and craft hits like “Sexy Back,” “Cry Me A River” and “Summer Love” again. He even described a summer “free of major commitments,” with no scheduled projects on the horizon. “I’m excited about trying to get my handicap down,” he told the New York Times recently, during a trip to a Brooklyn golf course. “Well, that’s the plan.”
“Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21st?” Timberlake asked Entertainment Weekly in an interview last year during the promotional run for The Social Network, where he had his breakout role as Sean Parker. “No, he doesn’t. It happens when it pours out of him. That’s how music is for me.”
