It’s a been a great week for new music! N.O.R.E. hits out of nowhere with my top pick, “Finito.” It’s good to hear him back with The Neptunes rocking like they used to do. Nas also makes somewhat of a comeback this week. Salaam Remi does his job providing Nasir with a NYC-style breakbeat to rock over. “Nasty” is a solid effort from the pair. The latest leak from Drake‘s second official album is an ode to drunk-dialing entitled “Marvin’s Room.” It does make me feel slightly awkward when I think about the times I’ve rang chicks and tried those same lines, SMH. Big Sean is on his grind lately, hopefully he’ll get a decent shot at the big time. He’s certainly got a nice track here with Kanye and Roscoe Dash on “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay.” And lastly is a new freestyle from someone I’ve been keeping a close eye on. Her name is Sky’High, she’s from Sydney, Australia and as you can hear from this snippet “Call The Police” she’s certainly not to be played with! Peep it.
