WTF!: Green Mile Actor Doug Anthony Hutchison, 51, Marries 16-Year-Old Aspiring Country Singer
Doug Anthony Hutchinson, most noted for his role as Percy Westmore in the Green Mile, married 16-year-old aspiring country singer Courtney Alexis Stodden in Las Vegas last month.
Aspiring country singer my ass. This former model and beauty queen’s style (singing and otherwise) is inspired by old episodes of Girls Gone Wild. She’s a little bit Paris Hilton, a giant spoonful of Heidi Montag and as chavy as they come. I’m completely intrigued.
According to the Daily Mail:
Her father Alex Stodden, who at 47 is four years younger that his son-in-law, and her mother Krista even gushed about the new addition to the family. ‘Every father can only pray to have such a man behind their daughter,’ he told Radaronline. ‘Doug is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life.’
Yesterday Courtney’s mother Krista also told RadarOnline.com: ‘We are totally supportive of this marriage. Doug is a wonderful man and we love him.’ She defended her daughter’s decision, insisting that she is a ‘good Christian girl’. Mrs Stodden said: ‘They are very much in love and we are so supportive of this. ‘Courtney was a virgin when she married Doug. She is a good Christian girl.’

Ok, I can understand people getting married that are 10 and even 20 years apart in age but for a 51 year old man to marry a 16 year old girl is really sick. I can’t believe a parent would sign papers so their 16 yr old could wed a 51 yr old man who is even older than her dad, much less even let her date someone that much older than her. I admit that she looks older than 16 and from her videos, she acts a lot older than 16. As for her singing, she needs to improve considerly before anyone I know would buy her songs. All I could see that she was offering was some (well really a lot) T&A to sell her songs. That might work for a little while with the males but they will soon tire of her and will go elsewhere for their entertainment. Aspiring country singer?? I think not. Trying to be a singer?? Trying is still not the right word but is the best I can come up with right now. This girl has a long way to go before she can be considered a singer.
Who told this girl she could sing? She wasn’t a virgin when she got married. She HAD to spend many hours on that ‘casting couch’ to get any music or any type of contract. So horrible. I would be embarrassed to be her family OR her new husband.
What did he see in her? I guess it was just a money thing. Remember Jerry Lee Lewis and his cousin? Maybe this is one of THOSE situations. Mr. Doug Anthony should be laughed out of Hollywood. Or wait…bet this was a Bet from Hollywood to get her married. Yeah…that’s it.
Anyway, buy your new wife some voice lessons before she dumps you.
