Are The Executives At Columbia Records Worried Beyonce’s New Album Will Flop?
Reportedly, the suits over at Columbia Records are in panic mode over fears that Beyonce‘s upcoming album, 4, will be a major flop. According to Page Six, the label’s executives tried to convince the “Girls (Who Run the World)” singer to re-record new tracks, but she refused. An industry insider said:
“They’re [Columbia] very nervous about Beyonce’s new record. It doesn’t have the hit songs that her fans are used to. They asked her to make changes, but she said no.”
Brainstorming over ways to save face if 4 ends up being a major dud, Columbia honchos have even kicked around the idea of another Destiny’s Child album. The source said:
“Beyonce’s career has stalled a bit. Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.”
Although the label is said to have already come up with a name for the proposed DC reunion album (Family Reunion), getting the girls to unite maybe easier said than done since Kelly Rowland is finally garnering a buzz as a solo artist. The source said:
“She has her own solo career now, why would she want to be singing back up for Beyonce?”
True indeed…Kelly has a hit on her hands with “Motivation,” and there are a lot of positive things being said about her new album Here I Am, which hits shelves July 26, so why the heck would she want to go back to being known as Beyoncé and them???

Of course They must worried about it. The album is pure crap I don’t why the honchos stopped her from the fisrt time they heard the whole album I know Beyoncé is the one to blame but They let her do anything She wanted to do with this album.
But I really wanna see Beyoncé’s face when her album won’t even reach the 10th spot on the billboard.
I think that people are jumping to conclusions about her album. The album has better tracks than some of the artists putting out the crap you all call music. It reminds us of what songs use to sound like back in the day and plus she is different from all the rest. Beyonce isn’t going to care how bad the album goes because she has her fans and they will make it a success.

This is bull crap…the album is already doing well in other countries. If you believe this you have not followed Queen Bey’s career, or World ITunes.
i just heard beyonce album its up for free download and yep her album title is right! 4 meaning she only has four or three good songs on the dam cd! she made me mad on this one cause i throught she would come back on some club bangers for the summer ooooo well. i’m a beyonce fan, and i just got the album, and i agree with the article, the beautiful music that i’m used to her doing is lacking in this cd. i am disappointed. highly disappointed. i only like 1 song (best thing i never had) 2 others are okay. but run the world (girls) oh my goodness, its far from being as good as single ladies. it’s a song for high schoolers at best, they’ll love to juk baby juk to the irritating beat. the song is as annoying as the song chicken noodle soup. I’m highly disappointed. And just because im a fan don’t mean i should lie about what i heard on the album. im a fan of her musical style, you know the one im used to, i don’t know what this was on this new album 4. im a fan of her dancing talent, and her talent of singing. but im too sorry the songs are the worst i’ve ever heard her do.
