Michelle Obama is one hot mama! Fresh to def off of doing the “Dougie” and the “Running Man” for her “Let’s Move! Flash Workout!” campaign with Beyoncé to fight childhood obesity in May, the First Lady is partnering with another Hollywood starlet for a good cause.

Fashionably dressed in a black-and-white short-sleeved blouse, red pants and metallic flats, Mrs. Obama stopped by the set of the Nickelodeon hit sitcom iCarly in Hollywood, California to film a very special episode with tween queen Miranda Cosgrove. Shot this past Monday, the episode aims to promote awareness of Joining Forces, a “comprehensive national initiative to mobilize all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned” stated series’ creator and executive producer Dan Schneider.

After Carly’s (Cosgrove) father, U.S. Air Force officer Col. Steven Shay, is unable to travel home from overseas for his birthday as planned, Carly’s two best friends Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Samantha (Jennette McCurdy) break the rules and set up a Web chat so Carly can talk to her dad. Instead of getting in trouble with her father and the government, Michelle pays the gang a visit to stress the importance of soldiers staying connected with their families.

“The First Lady discovers it and comes to have a chat with them in the most positive way possible,” said network president Cyma Zarghami. “It’s a feel-good initiative and regardless of your political affinity, everybody cares about these families, so it just feels right.”

First daughters Sasha, 10, and Malia, 12, are huge fans of iCarly, making Michelle “the coolest mom on the face of the planet,” she confessed. “The story line is very sweet. And it’s just a way for us to recognize [Carly’s] challenges as well as how her friends are stepping up to support her. When our country goes to war, we have families that are serving right along with them. So I’m pretty excited about it.”

This isn’t the only time a First Lady has made a cameo for a cause. In the early 1980s, First Lady Nancy Reagan appeared on Different Strokes begging Arnold (Gary Coleman) and his classmates to “Just Say No” for her anti-drug campaign.

The very special iCarly episode with Michelle Obama airs in January 2012.

As I read “Cinderella Ate My Daughter,” by Peggy Orenstein, my wife, Miranda, who I, Ron love, pointed, with her ring finger, to this post on the computer, and said, “Is not Dan Schneider wonderful?” And, I, Ron, said, “Indeed. And, the world needs to know. So, I suggest Cyma Zarghami put all of the resources of the network into a special episode, and call it “iNeed Dan.” You know, a kind of feel-good initiative, regardless of affinity.” And, my beautiful wife, Miranda, who compelled me to understand the nature of love, and marriage, in the real world, smiled, and continued, with me, to sew buttons on my old pajama top.

In the book, I, Ron, found Giselle Knowles, and Sasha and Malia, in the index. And, also, Courtney Love, but neither Love, itself, nor Miranda Cosgrove. And, my wife, Miranda, giggled, and said, “I imagine she left out Miranda Cosgrove, because Miranda did not want and desire, for herself, what Peggy wants and desires for her own daughter, “long, long, long before marriage.” Then, she took up a long thread, and resumed sewing. And, I, Ron, admire and respect her, as I watch her as I sew. Always.

When I watched the video, with the sound off, I was reminded of Ariana Grande, who I, Ron, love, and all the practice and effort required to get everything right, even before I, Ron, and my wife Miranda, send her joy for her eighteenth birthday. (I, Ron, do have a black heart, Ariana.) And, then, for some reason, “Love and Affection,” by Joan Armatrading, came to my mind, as I watched Michelle Obama dance. And, I, Ron, considered saying, “Michelle Obama has a lot of rose,” but was compelled, instead, to quote, from “The Beaver,” Jennifer Lawrence, who I, Ron, love, and say, instead, “Cuz I don’t wanna.” Love is like that. And, never forgets Montae Talbert, and those he loves.

I, Ron, watched my uncle, Norman, die, in pain, of cancer, in a veteran’s hospital, in 1978. They would not give him medical marijuana. Times change.

    Joy to you, Rose.
