J. Cole: Cole Summer Video Series, Episode 1
J. Cole, the multi-talented burgeoning emcee, producer, video blogger and amateur violinist has taken to his blog to release the first episode of a spankin new web series titled Cole World. The impetus for production is to help promote the Roc Nation signee’s album Sideline Stories which is due out September 27th, but the episode is surprisingly well done and an entertaining expose of the young emcee’s life on the road. With well received mixtapes and features with Jay-Z and Rihanna under his belt, J.Cole seems poised to be a major entity within hip-hop, but it’s the things you may not know about him that are brought to life in episode 1 of Cole Summer. For example, did you know his production skills rival his rhyming and that he’s got the production credit for the Kendrick Lamar hit HiiPower? Okay, that was an easy one, how about the fact that he’s taken violin lessons and is a former collegiate basketball player who can still throw it down? Check out episode 1 of Cole Summer and get a peek into the life of one of the next big names in hip-hop.
