Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Might Be The Best Sequel You See This Year

There have been plenty of sequels, prequels, reboots, and re-launches of films this year (especially this summer) with quite a few more to come. While the upcoming Harry Potter and Batman films are continuing to generate quite a buzz, many of the latest iterations of widely beloved film franchises have fallen flat on their faces either critically or commercially. For instance, while Transformers: Dark of The Moon will undoubtedly make a ton of money, many critics haven’t been too nice to it (read: an eye candy actress with no talent and a Victoria’s Secret model with no training might as well be one and the same).

With all that said, one of the biggest things to happen in film this summer was…a trailer. The film is the fourth in the Mission Impossible series and stars Ving Rhames and of course, Tom Cruise reprising their roles.

If the film plays out like the trailer suggests, this film will have a different look and feel than the first one and that’s how you make a sequel.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is set to be released December 16.
