Natalie Portman’s Baby Is Named Alef ?

Natalie Portman‘s been keeping a low profile since the birth of her son in June and many—myself included—have been wondering what the heck she named her boy. Rumor has it, she and fiancé Benjamin Millepied, whom she met on the set of Black Swan, named their newborn Alef.
That’s right, A-L-E-F.
Never heard the word before? Don’t worry, I know celebs sometimes name their kids crazy things, but this name has a lovely meaning. “Alef” is actually the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and in case you didn’t know, Natalie is originally from Israel. Naming her child Alef sounds like a heartfelt ode to a country she holds dear.











What was she thinking. if you rearrange the the letters of ‘Alef’, it spells Flea. I guess Natalie Portman considers her baby to be an insect
Its actually from the Arabic alphabet, by looking at the hebrew alphabet, you can see there are lots of similarities from the Arabic alphabet.
