VIDEO: Target Releases Second Version Of Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls)”
Disrespect her? No they won’t! Her fourth solo album aptly titled 4 may have leaked three weeks before the scheduled release date to less than stellar reviews but one thing is for sure, you can’t keep a good girl down. Hoping to get fans excited (and willing to pay for her album) 29-year-old Beyoncé released a Target-exclusive deluxe edition of 4 with an alternate version of her “Run The World (Girls)” video.
Once again directed by Francis Lawrence, the alternate video features more car explosions, never-before-seen dance sequences and the insanely talented French dance duo Les Twins (Laurent and Larry Bourgeois) who reportedly danced onstage with B at the Glastonbury Music Festival in England.
“It’s definitely riskier than something a bit more…simple,” Beyoncé told Billboard.com of the song. “I just heard the track and loved that it was so different: It felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras—things that typically don’t go together—to create a new sound.”
Check out the alternate version of the “Run The World (Girls)” video off B’s fourth studio album that debuted at #1 last week selling 310,000 copies.
