Bridezilla Alert! Kim Kardashian’s Staggering Wedding Registry Totals $172,000
Want to keep up with the Kardashians? It will cost you.
Reality TV starlet Kim Kardashian, her fiancé Kris Humphries and mother Kris Jenner were seen exiting exclusive posh luxury store, Geary’s of Beverly Hills, after registering for Kardashian’s upcoming nuptials set for October 31, 2011 and according to People, the registry is no joke.
Items range from a Baccarat Cosmos extra large vase ($7,500) to $46 martini glasses. Other must-haves from Gearys: Hermés presentation plates ($304 each), ice tongs ($195), a Tourbillon black vase ($6,500), a candy jar ($375), a Lalique Ingrid black vase ($4,625), a Christofle Vertigo small tray for $1,050, Ascutney glasses ($55 each), a Baccarat ice bucket ($635), a picture frame ($470), Balcon du Guadalquivir plates by Hermés ($105 each), a nude black resting statue by Lalique ($325), a nude black meditating statue ($325), crystal bar bowls ($140 each), a Lalique Cactus Flacon ($450), Havana ashtrays ($840 each) and a Lalique New York-style black clock ($1,115).
Clearly the girl that has everything needs a lot more. It’s rumored the socialite and NBA player, whom only began dating in December 2010, are set to spend close to $20 million dollars on their wedding day, hoping to rival the skeptical and suspense that surrounded the recent union of Kate Middleton to Prince William.
What’s tackier? The fact that Kim plans on losing 15 pounds just so she can load up on a bunch of overpriced stuff from her less-well-off guests or the fact that Kimmy thinks that an expensive wedding will make her a princess?
It’s no shocker that since Kim and Kris announced their ridiculous registry, backlash has ensued with many fans and members of the media calling the couple greedy and superficial, causing the pair to quickly set up more budget friendly registries at Macy’s, JC Penney, Bloomingdales, Kohl’s and Michael C. Fina.
No wonder Kim’s big day is scheduled for Halloween, because her registry is just plain scary. But if you plan on attending the wedding of reality TV royalty, shop for the Ks here, but have your credit card ready.
Now who said you can’t put a price on love?
