Top 10 Free (Useful) Apps For Your iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch

Get a new iDevice? Here is a list of my top 10 FREE app recommendations for the everyday person:
Weather Channel: Get the weather forecast for any location around the world. It provides you hourly forecasts as well as humidity levels for the day. It’s a definitely go-to app every morning before you get dressed.
Pandora: Free 40 hours of Internet radio via WiFi or 3G. Enter an artist or song title and it will automatically generate a playlist of the same genre.
Photoshop Express: Perform quick and simple edits to photos. Photoshop.com provides a free (up to 2GB) hosting resource to store your photos and videos online. It has it’s limitations but it’s FREE—you can’t lose. If you need something with detailed editing, I highly recommend Photogene for $1.99.
Bamboo Paper: Paired with a stylus, you can turn your iPad into a paperless notebook for school, work, and personal interests. It’s developed by Wacom, the world’s leading manufacturer of interactive pen displays and pen tablets. Create handwritten notes, sketches or doodles. The tracking is smooth and accurate. The pen mark tapers as your pressure lightens.
IMO.IM: Instant messenger service that signs onto MSN, Yahoo, Skype, Google Talk, Facebook Chat, ICQ/AIM, Jabber and MySpace. You can link accounts and sign onto all of them at once or be selective on particular accounts. Requires WiFi or 3G.
HootSuite: Social media tool for Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare and LinkedIn. It’s available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It allows you to send and schedule updates, track click stats, and set up tracking columns to monitor keywords, #hashtags and lists.
MyPad: Social Media tool for Facebook and Twitter. The interface is pretty simple and easy to navigate. It has great features but also a few limitations to be fixed. Free none-the-less.
HBO GO: Watch HBO on the go! Take it to the gym or on a road trip. But it’s only available for AT&T U-Verse, Charter, COX, Direct TV, Dish, Sudden LInk, Verizon, and Xfinity. Watch over 1,400 HBO shows, including HBO original programming, hit movies, sports, comedy and more. Available for iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Requires WiFi or 3G.
Crackle: Watch FREE current movies and TV series on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Unlimited, on demand viewing. They add 20 new movies and TV episodes monthly. The app requires WiFi or 3G and only works in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. Awesome app.
Fandango: Find out what movies are playing at your favorite theaters. Buy tickets in advanced with a small [candy-bar] fee per ticket. Check out movie trailers straight from your device. Requires WiFi or 3G of course.

I admit LifeTopix is not free, but at $5 it’s a bargain compared to the so called brand-name apps that cost $20-$40, and are much narrower in scope. We took the approach of making LifeTopix a COMPLETE life organization app, where many aspects of your life are connected together. That way you don’t need the clutter of a dozen or more separate apps that are disconnected from one another in order to manage a calendar, to-dos, tasks, projects, trips, shopping, events, education, health, finances, assets, notes, files, bookmarks, people, services… you get the point! We think it’s definitely worth taking a look at for a list such as this: http://lightarrow.com
