According to HipHopWired, DMX is a free man after being released from Arizona’s Yuma Prison yesterday. The fallen hip-hop star served seven months of a one-year sentence for probation violation. X was scheduled to be released on July 1, but the former Def Jam recording artist racked up several prison infractions, which delayed his release. Recently, during a very candid interview with VIBE, X spoke on his plans for the day of his release. Along with spending time with two of his children, X plans included going straight to work in the studio. He said:

“Yeah, straight to work. When I get out I’m going to pick my daughter up, and I had another baby since I been in here, so I’m going take my daughter to see my other daughter, I’m going to hang out for the day, and at night I’m going into the studio.”

Let’s hope X is able to get it together and stay out of prison this time around. If not for himself, than for the sake of his children.
