The Kick Pick of the Week is back with a selection that seriously plays on the nostalgia factor. The
Nike Air Presto was originally released in 2000 as a lightweight running kick that was completely flexible, bendable, and packable. Before there was Nike lunar, torch, or flywire technology, there was the sneaker with the body of a sock-liner, and they called it the Presto. The Presto took off in lifestyle circles as much as they did in running clubs—it was the “it” casual kick to have in your repertoire during the early 2000s. Nike is playing on our nostalgic impulses with the re-introduction of the Presto in a murdered out black-on-black design. The kick is completely devoid of accent hues save for the white swoosh at the toe and mid-foot. If you’re looking for a lightweight kick for a sorching hot summer afternoon, the Presto has been a good bet since the turn of the century. Look for these to hit retailers soon, as they’ve already started to drop
overseas.
