Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony: Where Did It All Go Wrong?
As we previously told you, after seven years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have announced their decision to go their separate ways, and rumors are running rampant about what led to the demise of the couple’s union. Reportedly, Marc’s unpredictable temper played a big role in the duo’s separation, with an inside source telling In Touch Weekly:
“He can be extremely harsh sometimes, everyone walks on eggshells when he’s around. The screaming was frightening at times.”
Marc’s controlling ways and sexist attitude on a woman’s role in a marriage have been talked about for years in the tabloids. Although J. Lo spent a great deal of their marriage catering to the singer’s perception of the doting wife who plays the background, her recent career-boosting gig as an American Idol judge pushed him over the edge. The insider told In Touch:
“When Jennifer skyrocketed back to fame on Idol, Marc was blindsided by her popularity. He never thought she’d boost the show’s ratings the way she did and he wasn’t prepared to be upstaged by his wife.”
If the rumors are true about Marc, then Jennifer just dodged a bullet. She should consider herself lucky that this charade of a marriage has come to an end.
