Video: The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer
Not to be outdone by the Batman franchise that recently released the trailer for their next installment, The Dark Knight Rises, Spider-Man follows suit. The battle for biggest summer blockbuster is well under way, but the results won’t be in until the summer of 2012 when these films release. The Spider-Man franchise is taking a refresher with a new director, new cast, and a break from the linear release pattern fans seemed to be growing tired of. Instead, we’re taken back to the beginning when Spider-Man was just Spider-Boy and the story will be told by director Marc Webb of The Office and 500 Days of Summer fame. The franchise has replaced the leading role, you know, Spider-Man himself. Don’t expect to see Tobey Maguire laced up in spandex flying from treetops, instead Spider-Man will be played by Andrew Garfield, you know the dude who said this. Emma Stone will also join the cast as Spidey’s love interest and the teaser trailer doesn’t disappoint.
