Katy Perry, LMFAO, Lady Gaga, Pitbull & More: Who Has The Official 2011 Summer Anthem?
Don’t look now, but the summer of 2011 is already more than halfway over. So while the temperatures may be topping out in the triple digits in a handful of different states right now, we’re only about a month or so away from football, foliage, and everything else that fall brings. And that can only mean one thing: It’s almost time to crown the official 2011 summer anthem!
The 2011 summer anthem is the one song that’ll instantly make you think about the summer of 2011 every time you hear it from here on out. It’s a song that’s been at or near the top of the charts for most of the summer. Every time you went to a bar, club, or BBQ this summer, this song was playing and, though you may be absolutely sick and tired of it right now (at this point, the song of the summer has probably been in heavy rotation on the radio since May!), there’s no doubt that it’s the song of this summer.
The only problem? Picking just one song that fits the bill. Over the course of the summer of 2011, there have been a number of songs that could be considered. But only one of them will get to serve as the official 2011 summer anthem when Labor Day finally forces us to say goodbye to the summer of 2011. So, which one of these songs would you choose if you had to pick your 2011 summer anthem right now? The choice is yours.
