Would You Wear The Adidas JS Gorilla?
When it comes to sneaker collaborations, few are more recognizable than the work Jeremy Scott has done with Adidas. Sure more people may know about Kanye’s work with Nike as a pseudo-designer, but there’s no mistaking a Jeremy Scott collab when it goes walking down the street. He’s put wings and teddy bears on high top Adidas kicks before, and now he’s gone the route of the full-fledged gorilla suit. The entire kick is comprised of a black fur-like material which transitions up to the focal point in a large gorilla head complete with arms. There’s no denying these kicks are a marvel of creativity and designsmenship, but the question remains: Would you actually put these on your feet? You’ll have about a year to study the pics and mull your decision as these are a part of the his collaborative Spring/Summer 2012 collection with Adidas.
