Alicia Keys and her producing hubby, Swizz Beatz, will celebrate their one-year anniversary on July 31, and judging by her comments in a recent interview, the two of them are still very much in the honeymoon phase. The “Un-Thinkable” singer told PEOPLE:

“It’s so fly. There’s something great about feeling at peace and ease with your partner and knowing you understand each other. I really enjoy that friendship.”

As for what she and Swizz have in common, Alicia said:

“There are so many similarities between us, it’s just mind-blowing. It’s really cool to have met my equal.”

During the interview, Alicia always reflected on the couple’s wedding day, which she described as “one of the best days of my life:”

“When I walked down [the aisle] and saw him, I could barely hold myself together. It was so beautiful—just about he and I and our love. The wedding was one of the best days of my life.”
