Zoo York’s Brandon Westgate Wins ESPN’s X Games 17 Real Street Fan Favorite Award
The world famous Zoo York skateboarding team earned another feather in it’s proverbial cap this past weekend when team rider Brandon Westgate (Emerica, Venture, Hubba, CCS) was announced as this year’s fan favorite in ESPN‘s X Games 17 Real Street contest. What does this mean? Besides becoming even more popular with the ladies (since all the cool girls appreciate/love skateboarding and skateboarders), it means Brandon walks away from this competition with a $10,000 check. Not bad for an online competition in which fans were able to head to ESPN.com to watch and vote for their favorite skateboarder’s best tricks illustrated in concise one-minute videos. Sometimes magic happens twice, as this award was won Zered Bassett, another Zoo York team member, last year.
