More Movie Clips For Republicans
Last week, many Tea Party Republicans needed some convincing to save our nation from catastrophic economic collapse, so Republican Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy rallied them to unity with this awesome clip from the Ben Affleck bank heist film, The Town. As Jon Stewart points out, according to this analogy, the Tea Partiers are sociopaths with muscle, the establishment Republicans are desperate criminals (who will ultimately betray the sociopaths), and they “hurt people.” Which sounds about right. Here are some other movie clips I think capture last week’s congressional drama:

Why: The Tea Party loves us so much, and we don’t realize how much we need them. But if they do what is necessary, even it leaves us screaming and crippled, we’ll realize! And we’ll finally love them!

Why: I’m pretty sure the Democrats learned to negotiate from Daffy Duck.
