Perhaps the most famous case of all, Gary Coleman shot to superstardom after landing a role on Different Strokes. In 1989, the child star sued his parents, Willie and Sue Coleman for mismanaging $3.8 million of his funds. In 1993, at the age of 25, a judge awarded him $1.3 million dollars.
