Sean Kingston Opens Up About Near-Fatal Jet Ski Accident; Disses His Buddy Justin Bieber!
Twenty-one-year-old Sean Kingston may have barely survived a freak jet-ski accident in the waters of Miami, Florda but the “Beautiful Girls” artist is ready to dive head first back into his career.
Three months after crashing into Palm Island Bridge near his Miami home, the singer is sharing intimate pictures from his hospital stay during which he had a blood transfusion and emergency open heart surgery to repair a torn aorta of which only 20 percent of patients usually survive. “He tried to die a couple times on us,” one of Sean’s doctors told Today, “but we just refused to let him die.”
“Basically, I learned that in life anything can happen and you have to count your blessings and worship God, and believe in God,” Sean told People about his brush with death. “And know that anything can happen, so you have to be cautious about what you do.”
After a month-long stay in the hospital, Sean surprised his fans when he returned to the stage in July, joining Nicki Minaj as she opened up for Britney Spears on the Femme Fatale tour. “Whoa! @TRINArockstarr and @SeanKingston just SHUT MIAMI DOWWWN w/me @ the Femme Fatale Tour!!! Thank u guys soooo much!!!!,” Nicki tweeted after her duet with Sean. Kingston then tweeted, “Just killed it on stage with the lovely @Nickiminaj had an amazing time feels great to be back on stage esp. wit the hottest female out

With a new lease on life, Sean may have suffered from some broken bones but one thing still intact is his funny bone. In an interview with Today, Sean talked about his road to recovery which included taking a joy ride in his Rolls Royce with one of his best friends, Justin Bieber, whom he jokes “can barely see over the steering wheel.”
