French house-music producer and DJ David Guetta is one of the most sought after beat slayers in the world having worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland (“When Love Takes Over”), Akon (“Sexy Bitch”), Black Eyed Peas (“I Gotta Feeling”), Rihanna (“Who’s That Chick”), Flo Rida (“Club Can’t Handle Me”), Kelis (“Scream”), Nicki Minaj (“Where Them Girls At”), Estelle (“One Love”), Fergie (“Get Over”) and Ludacris (“Little Bad Girl”), so it’s no surprise that his latest album, Nothing But The Beat, would be doused in collaborations with music industry titans.

Perhaps it’s this ability to work with anyone his heart desires that caused David to replace Mary J. Blige with Sia on the leaked track “Titanium.” What would make David replace the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul with a relatively unknown Australian pop singer is still a mystery but knowing the DJ’s love of airy, club-friendly beats and auto-tone, perhaps Mary’s gospel vocals were a bit too soulful.

Listen to Mary and Sia’s cover of “Titanium” below. Which version do you think David should have chosen?

Nothing But the Beat hits stores on Aug. 26th.
