If You Had To Choose Between Sex Or Your Smartphone, Which Would You Pick?

A new study shows that 33% of Americans, including almost half of all women, would rather give up sex for a week than go without their cell phone. (Only 20% of guys would do the same.)
The study also found that smartphone users are way more passionate about their phones. Compared to regular cell phone (or “feature phone”) users, smartphone fanatics are much more likely to sacrifice showering, television, or even seeing their significant other than their phone. Smartphone users also use their phones at the dinner table and during movies more often, and are more likely to have broken up with someone by text message, email, Facebook or Twitter post.
But smartphone users haven’t noticed all this anti-social behavior, or just don’t care. They are three times more likely to “judge people based on the type of phone they carry.” They show a strong preference for their own kind: A whopping 83% of iPhone users think other iPhone users make the best romantic partners, and 70% of Android users think their posse takes first place.
So if you don’t want some stanky boo who thinks they’re better than you and will break your heart in a public tweet, or even if you just want some uninterrupted TV time, you might have to ditch that Blackberry-totting hotshot. Tell them their apps can keep them warm at night.
