Here’s a collaboration that we definitely didn’t see coming: Disney x Vans.
Yes, you read that right. Disney and Vans teamed up recently to create a pair of slip-ons that aren’t available in the States yet but will make their debut here sometime soon. They feature a navy blue upper with a thick rubber sole and Winnie the Pooh splattered all over them—presumably because Winnie just returned to the big screen in Winnie the Pooh last month.
Now, the bigger question here isn’t why Disney and Vans would team up (though, for the record, we’d love to hear how it happened!). Rather, it’s “Will you wear a pair of Vans slip-ons that are covered with Winnie the Pooh?” I’m betting you will.
Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not going to be wearing these anytime soon. It takes a certain sense of style (and a whole lot of confidence!) to slip your feet into a pair of these and pull the look off. But I also know that someone out there is already salivating just looking at these things. Thanks to the unlikely pairing of Disney and Vans, they are certainly unique and something that anyone who rocks Vans regularly would be proud to wear. If nothing else, you’re going to own a pair of sneakers featuring one of the coolest collaborations you’re going to see this year if you choose to buy these.
