Men: Would You Wear A Short Suit?
During this summer heat in NYC, I seriously feel for men who have to dress up in stuffy suits for work. Lucky for some who may not have to be so formal, a fun trend this year is short suits.
While these can be worn with a button-down shirt, you can make the look even breezier by rocking a tank top or tee underneath, as Kanye West does in the image above. Make sure the suit fits right (the shorts shouldn’t go past your knees), and pair it with some cool oxfords, boat shoes or even clean low-top sneakers.
If you don’t want to do the matching jacket and shorts, pair something like a navy blazer with red chino shorts for a more effortless and casual look. Thom Browne is one designer who went hard with short suits for summer 2011, from more classic looks to bold patterns and summery styles:
