Now Available: Fruit Ninja For Xbox Kinect

Who would have thought that fruit slicing would be so entertaining? It started off with swiping your fingers across a smart device app to swiping your hand across a 37″ touch screen display in arcades like Dave & Busters. Now Xbox LIVE Arcade has made it available for arm flinging with the Xbox Kinect for 800 Microsoft points ($10 USD).
Judo chop these fruits tossed in mid-air in four different modes—Classic, Zen, Challenge and Arcade. Each mode has it’s own unique rules to give the game an interesting dynamic. It sounds lame, but trying to beat your score becomes highly addictive. Unlock achievements and play up to two players offline.
I’m actually impressed with the graphics. However, there is a slight delay. It’s a fun game with the family or when you have friends over. It can get a bit lame after a while so I see it as temporary entertainment. You may find it frustrating playing with another player since you have to stand so close to each other. It can get physical, especially if you’re playing against a competitive sore loser. I’d use it as an opportunity to open-hand slap the person for no reason.
In any case, overall it’s not too shabs for only $10. Nice game to have in the library to keep your Kinect from collecting dust.
