The location-based social networking service just got a Presidential salute from well, the President himself. If you don’t know about Foursquare, here’s a one sentence explanation; it’s a social media service through which users can check in and share their location and tips about said locations. While Foursquare may be new to you, there are over 10 million people already using the service and making their every destination known to the world. President Obama will be using Foursqure in conjunction with his economic bus tour across the Midwest. You’ll be able to track Obama on Foursquare, see where he’s giving speeches and subsequently applaud or heckle him how you see fit. While this probably won’t be a threat to his security detail, he’ll probably want to avoid social media snafus like politicians prior and not check in to and reveal the location of his top secret bunker. Head on over here to start following Obama’s moves on Foursquare.
