Dana White has always mentioned that his dream was to see the Ultimate Fighting Championship on network television.

It looks like Mr. White has finally gotten his wish.

Although not confirmed as of press time, multiple reports have flooded in that the UFC and Fox have inked a monster deal where UFC and its programming will head to Fox and its subsidiaries for a reported $90 million over the course of the next seven or eight years. The deal will kick in after the UFC’s current deal with Spike TV expires at the end of 2011. Fox will have the rights to broadcast four live UFC events per year while other programming, which includes The Ultimate Fighter reality series and Ultimate Fight Night, will be broadcast on FX.

A press conference is set to take place in Los Angeles Thursday to formally announce the deal and its details. For those not convinced, several UFC fighters and executives are heading to the press conference, which signals that the deal is likely concrete.

How big of a deal is this? Well, boxing has struggled mightily without a network television deal. The UFC has surged over the past few years and the opportunity to expand its fan base will likely take the sport to the next level.
