DUI Drama: Teairra Mari Arrested For Drunk Driving!
Teairra Mari might have to slip out of her signature stilletos and get used to walking.
The “Don’t Make Me Cause A Scene” singer did just that when she crashed her silver Infiniti into the car in front of her while driving down Santa Monica Boulevard in the early hours of Friday morning. No one was injured in the accident but onlookers say that the 23-year-old, born Teairra Marquisha Thomas, was so intoxicated she could barely even stand.
When officers arrived on the scene, tipsy Teairra resisted arrest and “became combative, resulting in a minor cut to the hand of one of the arresting officers,” according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Ouch! Now the former Roc-A-Fella artist is facing assault charges on top of her DUI charges. She is reportedly still in custody with bail set at $50,000.
All this drunk-driving drama comes just days after Teairra inked a deal with Rico Love’s Division1 label (who’s written hits for Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Diddy) to release her long awaited sophomore album. “Teairra Mari is now part of the Division1 family. She is officially signed to Division1,” Rico stated. “We got the lights on all over the world.”
Let’s just hope this caged songbird learns how to sing behind bars.
Good grief. She is lucky that she didn’t hurt anyone while drunk. Too many drunk drivers these days.
