Beyoncé Unveils Fiercely Frizzy New Promo Shots For House of Deréon
Welcome to the Jungle.
Perhaps she’s been too busy schmoozing with Lady Gaga, Maxwell, Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Jennifer Hudson and the other glitterati during her 4 Intimate Nights with Beyoncé concert series at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom, to run a brush through that faux fro of hers, but the diva debuted some deliriously frizzy tendrils across the new wild promo shots for the house that mama built.
House of Deréon just released the first set of City Jungle A/W 11 collection ads with Mrs. Carter, of course, as the principal model. The singer, who collaborated with her mother, Tina Knowles, on the designs, took a walk on the wild side dripping in jewels in a snakeskin technicolor hooded blouse and glossy bubblegum pink lipstick. Even more wild? The diva expects you to step out sans pants. Not sure when satin bikini bottoms and knee-high lace socks became proper street attire but you’d have to be wild and plain crazy to go out in any city with this style on.
“Beyoncé and I are so proud of the line up and we can’t wait to see the consumer’s response and how she makes it her own,” said Tina to Harper’s Bazaar of the “seductive collection of wearable contemporary street-wear fused with exotically sensual pieces, from flirty and feminine dresses, in leopard prints and tribal hues of ivy and taupe, to slinky jumpsuit bodies, buttery-soft suede shorts and luxe-sport hoodies.”
