J. Cole Rocks Jordans On The Sideline Story Album Cover
J. Cole has further stoked the fire of his smoldering buzz through the release of the cover art for his impending album The Sideline Story. If it seems like not so long ago veterans like Jay-Z were doing Cole a favor by allowing him a cameo, it’s because it wasn’t. J. Cole has matched nearly every up and coming rapper stride for verse-laden stride in the last two years save for maybe heartbreak Drake, but that’s a tale for another day. Cole is set to release The Sideline Story come September 27th and continues the sports motif with his recently release album art. Cole is an avid basketball player so his lover for sneakers is elementary as evidenced by the Air Jordan VII “Raptors” he’s seen rocking on his album cover. While J. Cole is no style maven, he does well to pair his Js up with a fitted pair of raw denim jeans and a bespoke varsity jacket. I applaud Hollywood Cole for the cut of his cloth in that everything is crisply fitted and his choice of jewelry is nicely understated. Get ready for the album come late September and a probably slew of new songs before then.
