American Horror Story: Would You Invite This Guy Into Your Home?

FX Network is hoping you’ll want to meet this guy. Unexpectedly.

To promote their upcoming series American Horror Story, FX is inviting excited fans to sign up for a “Horror House Call.” The Web site asks for your name, and the name of a friend or family member to help “plan” the visit:

The Web site and videos all say that “a character” from the show will appear, but they always seem to choose latex guy here. But who knows, maybe you’d get a visit from one of the show’s lovely stars, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott.

Details around the show are intentionally sketchy, but we do know it’s about the “Harmons, a family of three who move from Boston to Los Angeles as a means to reconcile past anguish.” FX has been releasing a series of ten-second teasers that create more questions than answers. The show might be about a cursed baby, a dead women, or playing the body like a cello, but I personally think the most important detail is that the song “Tainted Love” is playing in the background of all of them.

The dark, creepy drama is being co-created by Ryan Murphy, the same man who brought you… Glee?!

While American Horror Story may be the complete opposite of peppy singing teens, Murphy is actually experienced in gloomy drama: He and AHS co-creator Brad Falchuk previously teamed up for the very intense Nip/Tuck on FX.
