Nintendo World Flagship Store In New York City
Initially I was looking for the Pokémon Center on Google Maps and it turned out to be the flagship specialty store Nintendo World! It’s located right by Rockefeller Center, you can’t miss it. It’s heaven for kids and adults that are young-at-heart. The coolest thing about this place is that it really puts you into Nintendo’s world of Super Mario, Pokémon and all their friends.
As you enter this glass menagerie, you’re greeted by a happy kid-sized Pikachu figure. On this floor, you’ll find several demo stations for the Nintendo 3DS. Upstairs on the second floor, there are several Wii stations to demo new Wii games. There’s also a free mini museum that features all the consoles ever made by Nintendo. The store sells a wide variety of Nintendo video games and merchandise that are exclusive to the store.
A cool tidbit is that this Nintendo World Store regularly holds tournaments and shows for new games, giving early releases and prizes to winners. Check out their calendar for event updates!
