Somebody, Please Stop Basketball Wives From Airing!

Alright, enough is enough already. The madness has got to stop. This fungus known as Basketball Wives has got to be stopped.

Because it is an abomination of a show where women use their ex-husbands to make a name for themselves while slandering every single basketball wife who doesn’t show their ass on television. The premier of Basketball Wives Los Angeles aired over the weekend and I decided to give it a once over to see what the hell we were dealing with and why Shaunie is distancing herself from the show. Well, it’s safe to say that this might be worse than the original.

You see, Basketball Wives Miami featured a group of really miserable women who either have divorced or are just bitter at the lack of having a basketball husband. But they should be happy since they got a reality show out of it. Nevertheless, the original collective at least acted like they had some sense one out of ten times.

This latest batch of women is utterly ridiculous. Sure, Malaysia and Jackie are wives, but Gloria, Laura, Kimsha and Imani are not. And then there is Draya. Draya Michele has not been even close to a wife. She’s simply a pretty face thrown in to stir the pot amongst the “wives.” It makes absolutely no sense why she’s on the show as some view her as a groupie. If that’s the case, shouldn’t this be Basketball Groupies instead of Basketball Wives? Both versions of the show offer misrepresentation all the way around.

Then you have the ratchetness that took place only one episode in.

They wasted no time showing their true colors. Regardless of who was right and who was wrong, this entire fiasco was embarrassing.

So look, what’s it going to take to get this show off the air? Can a bunch of other wives of basketball players who don’t feel the need to air their dirty laundry on television, get together and start a petition? Do something because this is truly out of control.
