Recessionista Alert! Missoni Creates A 400+ Piece Collection For Target!
Talk is cheap but cheap and gorgeously chic fashions are always worthy of conversation.
In exactly 10 days, frugal fashionistas everywhere will risk a few cuts and bruises as they race to Target and brave the crowd when Missoni launches their collection on September 13th. The world renowned fashion house, founded in 1953 and known for their knitwear and colorful prints, patterns and fabrics, has created a distinctly delicious collection of socks, shoes, bags, scarfs, blankets, hats, pumps, ties, dresses, sweaters, baby clothes, headbands and swimsuits for a Target line incredibly all priced between $7.99 and $199.99.
Even unconventional items like a bike, vases, rugs, cocktail shakers, sofa pillows, candle holders, laptop covers, dish towels, bed sheets and makeup cases, couldn’t escape the famous zigzag pattern, for a smart and conventional line that is Target’s largest collaboration with a designer to date. In the past, Target has joined forces with the likes of fashion giants Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Zac Posen and Mulberry, but nothing has come close to reaching Missoni’s magnitude.
Margherita Missoni, Missoni’s resident muse, IMG model and the granddaughter of founders Ottavio (“Tai”) and Rosita Missoni, gave viewers a candid look behind the scenes of the collection and discussed what inspires the family business in a two-minute video for YouTube.
