Ray J Still Wants A Piece Of Kim Kardashian

Ray J is making sure to milk every last drop of his sex tape with Kim Kardashian till it runs dry.

The story so far: An “undisclosed private party” (we’re guessing it’s the Kardashian clan) has offered to buy all rights to the video (after millions have been made from it, of course) from Vivid Entertainment head Steve Hirsch to take it off the market for good. Ray J’s lawyer has gotten a whiff of the sale and sent off a letter to Hirsch making clear his client has partial copyright ownership in the video and “any attempts to transfer the copyright outside of these parameters will result in filing a motion with the courts to seek an injunction of any sale until Ray J’s rights are protected.” In plain English, that means Ray wants a piece—a serious piece—of the final selling price.

The letter also says the video has caused constant negativity in Ray’s life: “My client rarely has a conversation with industry professionals where the tape has not been mentioned or questioned…no amount of money can relieve him from this nightmare.” Of course, there’s no mention how much money, fame and notoriety Ray has made from the video so far, either.

Hirsch tells TMZ the rights are worth “at least $30 million,” therefore whoever is pushing to buy it can easily afford such an expensive slice of footage and desperately wants it to finally disappear—a newlywed co-star in it, perhaps.
