Justin Bieber might have been trying to garner some street cred when he tweeted, “I remixed Drake‘s ‘Trust Issues‘ and a YouTube link to the track during last week’s 2011 MTV VMAs, but according to Drake, we will not be witnessing “the transformation of Justin Bieber” just yet. Apparently America’s blue-eyed baby boy keeps it more “PG” than “G.”

When word spread that the 17-year-old pop regulator known as the Biebs, covered “Trust Issues” off Drake’s forthcoming LP Take Care, many were interested to hear how he’d handle the moody slow jam laced with curses and references to drinking. Although JB does a great job crooning and channeling Drake’s paranoia, his attempt at being hard comes off a little bit soft. On the original, Drake laments “You know what I’m sippin.’ I teach you how to mix it. But you’re the only one, ’cause I don’t trust these bitches.”Justin’s take? “You just need to listen. Teach you how to fix it. ‘Cause you’re the only one, because I don’t trust these women.”

It’s not surprising that Justin would try to stay as PC as possible especially since most of his fan base consists of tween girls who get their allowance from parents who don’t want their daughters listening to a singer that endorses underage drinking. Still Drake hoped that Justin would throw caution to the wind.

“I wish he would’ve left all the cuss words in it. I feel like that would’ve been so G, if he would’ve done all the swearing,” Drake told MTV News. “I was excited when I heard he remixed it, because there was like a gang of swearing in that song. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re about to hear the transformation of Bieber.’ ” Drake was happy wth the outcome nonetheless. “He’s like a talented kid…from Canada, so to hear him even remix that song is crazy,” he said. “That’s incredible.”
