PHOTOS: West Indian Day Parade/Carnival, NYC

Every year during Labor Day Weekend in New York City, the vibrant people of the Caribbean prove when it comes to partying, they’re damn sure hard to beat.

The West Indian Day Parade attracts over a million people to Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn for spectacular costumes, floats with massive sound systems blasting reggae and soca, some of the best cuisine the islands have to offer and (unfortunate incidents aside) a family-oriented celebration of the incredible melting pot that makes the Caribbean as special as it is.
