Be Prepared: “Cuffing Season” Is Here
Cuffing season is officially about to be in full swing. What is this, you ask? If you haven’t heard the term by now, it’s a time to put feelers out for potential end of year boo’s, or as UrbanDictionary.com defines it, “the season in which everyone is getting coupled up; usually around when the weather is beginning to change and it’s getting cold outside.” It basically means that over the summertime you acted a fool and got with Lord knows how many random partners; now winter’s on the way (especially freezing on the East Coast) so it’s time to focus on that one special person to keep you warm.
We came across this hilarious pic on Twitter (made by @OlDirtyDennis, who calls himself “The Cuff God”) breaking the season down over the next couple months. Things kick off on September 23 (the official beginning of fall) and go into overdrive in the second week of October. The time after Drake‘s new album Take Care drops on October 24 is the most intense; according to the calendar, that’s when “Hey stranger” texts and “How you been” phone calls reach their peak. You should be texting that special someone TODAY during the pre-season, so go ‘head and lay that groundwork!
