Move Over Jennifer Aniston. Idris Elba Is The Sexy New Face Of SmartWater
Smartwater now has brains and brawn.
Hunky Brit Idris Elba was just announced as the new celebrity spokesperson for Smartwater. The Emmy-nominated actor, best known for his roles in HBO‘s The Wire and films like Obsessed, Takers, The Losers and Thor, will be featured in Smartwater’s Fall print ad campaign set to run in GQ, Essence and Men’s Journal. Shot over the summer by famed fashion photographer Norman Jean Ray, the four different portraits will depict Idris incorporating Smartwater into his healthy and wealthy lifestyle.
Idris, 39, who currently plays the lead role of Detective John Luther in the BBC series Luther, takes over for actress and Hollywood heavyweight Jennifer Aniston who has been the face of the electrolyte-instilled beverage since 2007.
